Dress that body you’ve worked hard for in MadStyle! Discount code included!

I am definitely not a fashion guru.  I can put together an outfit but I won’t claim that I’m a rock star at it by any means.  I manage to pull it together, love shopping, and can’t bypass a great deal. One of the great things about living a healthy lifestyle is feeling fit, healthy, and in shape.  This means trying on clothes isn’t something I dread.  I look forward to it!  What better way to celebrate your body that…

That feeling of “I’m back”

Have you seen that Friends episode where Phoebe wants to go running with Rachel and Rachel is embarrassed because Phoebe runs really awkward and all over the place?  That’s how I felt when I first starting running again after having my baby.  I felt like people were looking at me like I was a crazy person running by.  Everything felt loose and weird.  It was like I was in a completely different person’s body. Celebrity Pregnancies vs Reality

Losing the baby weight.  It’s something that has been on my mind since I got pregnant – and isn’t that crazy???  I just had this huge, wonderful, amazing life change and I’m already thinking about how I’m going to lose the baby weight.  Wait a second… this isn’t right! I passed!

(Image from ACE Facebook Page) I passed!  I am officially a Certified Personal Trainer!  It feels so good to say that I’m honestly pretty proud of myself. I have been studying for the past 5 months (in between work, life, and being pregnant) and it wasn’t easy.  I had fun though and learned so much though.  I don’t regret a minute of time I put into studying.  The program I went with is ACE (American Council on Exercise).  This…

Sticking to the healthy New Year’s resolution

Happy New Year!  It’s the first day of a new year.  A day when many are planning out what the next year holds, dreaming big, making goals, and of course – coming up with those New Year’s resolutions.  One of the most popular resolutions is, of course, to lose weight.  Or as I prefer to look at it – start and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  This is a great goal and what an appropriate time.  We have all indulged over…

An Interview I Won’t Forget

I hate the word “diet”.  I really do.  It’s like this evil word that means you’re constantly frustrated, stressed, and worried about what to eat or do for exercise.  Who wants to live that way? I am sure most of you have heard the saying “it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle”.  Well, there is a reason that statement has been repeated by so many health professionals and in so many articles.  Because it’s TRUE. Whatever that means to you…
