A milestone birthday requires some goals

I will be turning 30 one month from today and have decided to set some goals for myself involving my physical and mental health.  Things that will help me spiritually as well as things that will help me maintain my health and fitness level I am at now.  I know that 30 isn’t all that old so this is no crisis I am going through I assure you but I think a significant birthday like this one is a great…

Join me on my run!

Reflecting on the holiday weekend we had recently I realized that I had a really great Fourth of July.  I got to spend some quality time with my husband, some family, and even do a few fun random things (one of them was practice my golf swing… that was just funny!). That day started off with something really great though – a run!  This run was different from ones I have had recently.  This was the first time in awhile…

Country Music Marathon Recap

What a death can teach us about a healthy mind and spirit

Roger Ebert died today.  I am sure you know this.  I like Roger Ebert and have a lot of respect for him.  I can’t say I have been some big fan and follower or anything but I have always liked him.  His death sparked something within me.  It’s not just that it’s him.  Because someone else probably died from cancer today as well and their story is just as sad.  It’s about how quickly this all happened.  I just heard…

Christmas Belly!

Christmas Belly Do you have it?  I sure feel like I do!  I found this on Pinterest and just had to share as it seemed hilarious and appropriate for this blog post:     I had a wonderful Christmas with my husband’s family in his hometown.  It was such a great time and I was reminded about what a great family I married into.  We had a lot of fun visiting with more family, playing games, talking, and of course…
