I passed! I am officially a Certified Personal Trainer! It feels so good to say that I’m honestly pretty proud of myself.
I have been studying for the past 5 months (in between work, life, and being pregnant) and it wasn’t easy. I had fun though and learned so much though. I don’t regret a minute of time I put into studying. The program I went with is ACE (American Council on Exercise). This is a nationally accredited certification. I liked how it was well organized and came with a syllabus that really guided you through each week on what you should be doing. There were videos, quizzes, chapters to read, a workbook, and flash cards. It was a lot of information but all very useful.
I appreciate all the support from my family and friends as well. My biggest supporter is of course, my husband. He is always on board with my “next crazy idea” and things I want to do. He really supports my personal growth and career goals. I couldn’t have done it without him! I also had such great encouragement from so many family members and dear friends of mine who really helped push me along. They kept telling me how they believe in my vision and goals in life and it kept pushing me forward.
So now what? That’s what people keep asking me (mostly my curious, but always supportive, father). I’m not sure yet. I know that health and fitness is my passion. It’s a huge part of my life and something I really enjoy helping others with. I practice the things I preach every single day. I don’t just offer up advice or give health tips I believe in for fun. I actually do them myself. I truly believe that each of us should live a life of balance. This balance includes incorporating some healthy eating, moderation, and physical activity. It’s what will keep us living a full life longer.
So for now, I enjoy sharing my world of health and fitness to those who are interested to hear. Thank you to anyone who has ever read my blog. It means more than you know. I will continue to share the things I learn and the tips I come to find that are helpful. As I approach a new title of Mom in my life, I will share what helps me stay fit and healthy even through a busy, hectic schedule like almost all of us have.
I hope to inspire at least one of you. I hope you learn something new that helps you in life.
