Nashville Moment: Brunch at Biscuit Love

September 29, 2015|Posted in: nashville

Brett and I are suckers for a really good brunch. It’s our favorite meal and we love finding a new spot to dine for it. We had plenty of places we loved in Chicago so we have been scoping out the scene here in Nashville.

A couple weekends ago we decided to try Biscuit Love in The Gulch. Brett’s co-worker recommended it and I was definitely up for trying it out! I had a 17 mile run that morning on the schedule so I also knew I would be ecstatic to get some good food in my belly!

My run was over that Saturday morning around 9:30 am so I called Brett afterward and we agreed to meet there. By the time I got there and parked it was around 10 am. There is a parking garage and lot close by that was only $2 so I was ok with that!

The line was out the door already but I didn’t mind waiting outside in the beautiful weather. Brett and Ady made it there about 20 minutes later and the line was just starting to go inside the door. Once we were inside it was about another 10 minutes. So it was a wait but we didn’t mind and Ady was surprisingly ok with waiting as well.

This is the type of spot where you order your food at the cash register then take your number to your table and they bring you the food. The atmosphere inside is really cool and very chill.

We found a spot to sit (and a high chair!) and the food came out surprisingly fast. I also ordered a latte that was really good and hit the spot.

We ordered “bonuts” for an appetizer and they did not disappoint! They were dangerously good. I got the egg plate which came with eggs of course, grits, bacon, and a biscuit. Brett ordered the East Nasty but got it with the “hot chicken” instead of the regular. Apparently this is a fun little secret someone told him about.

I can honestly say I enjoyed everything about my meal. I am sure I came close to replacing the amount of calories I burned off but it was well worth it.

So is it a do-over? Absolutely.

Be prepared to wait a little depending on what time you go but the wait wasn’t bad. Definitely get the bonuts! And The Gulch has some fun shopping and areas to walk around if you want to do that before or after as well.

Brunch is turning out to be pretty good here in Nashville!

I want to encourage you to follow along in my health journey through what I learn and experience. I hope there is something you can take away from Fit Busy Female that inspires you to start taking control of your health and feeling better every day.
