Morning Sickness Relief: My experience taking Diclegis

I’ve mentioned in some recent posts that my morning sickness was in full force during the first trimester of this pregnancy. Worse than it was with the first one. It was so bad that I had to call the doctor, wave the white flag, and ask for something to help me get through the day. (Photo via firsttimemommy.net) My doctor prescribed me Diclegis. I was hesitant to take anything honestly because I just hate the thought of putting any medication…

My Fitness Routine During Pregnancy – Baby #2

My first pregnancy with my daughter was fairly comfortable (as far as pregnancies go), I had a good amount of energy for the most part, and I had a really great labor (5 1/2 hours total and she was here!). I truly think the reason for all this is because I exercised my entire pregnancy. So this time I plan to do the same – mostly. The first trimester is a just-do-whatever-you-can time for me. First Trimester Recap – Baby #2

But I need to pick up diapers for Ady. I will do all this on the way home. But I need to be home by 4:30…

When you run a marathon… and then find out you’re pregnant

I ran the Chicago Marathon (my 4th marathon) back in October. In my recap post I talked about how the race did not go as planned and I did so much worse than I thought I would. These things happen in any race and to any runner but there were a number of factors I identified that led to my poor performance. What I didn’t realize at the time was that one of those factors was that I was pregnant!…

2015 Recap and 2016 Goals

It’s still hard for me to believe that 2015 is over. It was big year for me personally and for us in our family. Among the list of things that happened in 2015 are: we sold our condo in Chicago and moved to Nashville, bought a new house, both Brett and I started new jobs, Adyson started daycare for the first time, I ran a half marathon and my 4th marathon, I found I’m pregnant again (it’s a BOY!), I…
