Sticking to your fitness routine when traveling

Last week, I traveled to Burlington, Vermont for work. I never thought I would visit Vermont simply because I don’t know anyone there and it’s also not on the way to places I would typically go. However, that is the region I do work for so I found myself there! I had a little bit of a chaotic day getting there. My laptop decided to stop working as I was leaving and my flight ended up being really delayed so…

Quick/Healthy Breakfast Idea

Since I’ve become a full time working mom now, I have realized I need to be a lot more efficient and I need simple, quick recipes to make sure I actually get to eat. Breakfast is such an important meal and to me, it makes a difference in my whole day. I just have to eat breakfast or I have zero energy… and I’m not such a nice person either! So I realized I need something quick that I can…

Love Low-Cal Cocktails?!

It’s no secret that alcoholic drinks can add up to a lot of calories.  One margarita alone can have 500 calories.  Just one!  I do love margaritas though.  Paired with a good bowl of chips and some salsa… it’s a perfect combo.  However, this isn’t so great for the waist line or your health. So when we left our condo in the city and moved into a house, I knew this was my chance to get one!  The only problem was that I didn’t know what to get.  So I began my research.  I thought it might be helpful to write about what I found along the way…

What Happened When I Didn’t Weight Myself for a Month

(Image via Goodhousekeeping.com) A lot of people question whether or not to weigh themselves regularly.  Some people believe that you should know what your weight is all the time while others believe you should just trust how your clothes feel and go based on that.  I’ve heard some people even throw out their scales.  As I usually believe with most things in life, I think moderation is key so I’m somewhere in the middle. I definitely think that you should…

New favorite drink: discount included!

Hydration is such a huge part of living a healthy lifestyle.  It’s a necessary component to staying healthy, fueling a workout before and after, and helping you feel (and work) your best. I get asked about hydration a lot.  Friends of mine don’t know what they should be drinking before, during, and after workouts.  I also hear many people complain that water is boring.  While I don’t agree with that necessarily, I can understand where they are coming from. There…
