Healthy Meal Delivery? Yes, Please.

Life is a little nuts right now and crazy busy. Time management is something I have become very good at and it’s all about prioritizing what needs to be done.  It’s also about outsourcing and finding little things to make life easier. Seriously, whatever I can do to make things a little easier, I’m in. One thing that I’ve realized takes up more time than I would like is making dinner.  Not only do you have to prepare the meal,…

A lesson from my return to HIIT classes

My first workout class since having a baby was a little nerve wracking.  Will I make it?  Am I going to embarrass myself?  Will I pass out?  Will I puke?  In front of everyone? These were all thoughts in my head as I drove to a class nearby to give my first attempt at an HIIT class post baby. (HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training) I took a lot of these classes before having a baby and they were tough. …

Reasons why you shouldn’t hate (and should maybe love) the “dreadmill”

Okay, I get it.  Running outside, for most people, is the more enjoyable way to go.  I’ve heard it all about the dreaded treadmill (hence dreadmill).  You are stuck in one place, it’s boring, there’s no change, etc.  And I agree.  To a point. Breastfeeding, Milk Supply, and Running

Since I talked about breastfeeding in my last blog, I figured I should cover another topic about the subject.  And it’s something I have been asked about. Running and breastfeeding. I was initially concerned that once I started running and working out again my milk supply would decrease dramatically.  A lot of your supply depends on calories.  I would be burning a lot more calories so I wasn’t sure what this would do.  I had read that sometimes it can…

Making Dinner Simple: Theme Nights!

(A Meatless Monday dish I made!) Trying to decide what to eat for dinner is the biggest decision in our house.  It takes us forever to decide what to eat!  I’m not sure why but my husband would probably say it’s my fault for being so indecisive.  And he’s probably right! I’m the type of eater where I can eat the same things over and over.  I know – boring!  But I just can.  I know what I like…

Taco Tuesday!

Life is BUSY these days!  So figuring out how my husband and I are going to eat a healthy dinner has become a little more challenging.  But, we’re finding ways! So last night was Taco Tuesday at our house (I will have another post on our theme nights later – our nephew gave us this idea).  I had something to go to around 6:00 so my husband was going to be home with our daughter.  I got home around 7:45…
