New favorite drink: discount included!

Hydration is such a huge part of living a healthy lifestyle.  It’s a necessary component to staying healthy, fueling a workout before and after, and helping you feel (and work) your best. I get asked about hydration a lot.  Friends of mine don’t know what they should be drinking before, during, and after workouts.  I also hear many people complain that water is boring.  While I don’t agree with that necessarily, I can understand where they are coming from. There…

Another type of barre experience: Flybarre

I have been loving the barre classes lately as I’m sure you learned from my last post.  They are such a great exercise to incorporate into my running.  And as I mentioned, they are all so different so don’t get discouraged if you try one barre class and don’t like it.  Keep trying them and I’m sure you will find one you enjoy! So the other day I headed to the gym determined to get a good workout.  I had limited time but wanted something that would keep me interested, challenge me, and make the time go fast. I came up…

When it’s Okay to skip that Workout

The other week, I was on a roll with everything going on at the moment.  I had dinners prepared almost every night, had worked out almost every day, done chores around the house, done some stuff for my blog, and gotten some sleep (as much as you can get with a 4 month old). Then… my husband got sick and my daughter decided she wanted to wake up every couple of hours to eat at night.  For a week.  So…

Workout Options for Moms!

I know a big dilemma with being a mom (or busy person in general) is figuring out how to get in a workout.  Now you have another person to take care of that is completely dependent on you.  But Mom still needs her time to get in some exercise! How do we find the time to do this?  I have 4 different options for new moms that might help them get in a workout – and maintain some sort of…
