Weekend + Last Week’s Workouts

I’m a little late getting to this post but better late than never, right? We had a great weekend and I thought I would share some of it with you guys. We are really getting out of the house a lot so that we can get to know our new city as much as possible! There is a lot to do here and we are learning the food is incredible. (Also, I couldn’t load all of my pictures for some reason so I posted the ones I could – what’s up with WordPress?!)

Let’s just talk real quick about Friday. Pretty much our Friday vibes right here:

Ady has so much personality it’s crazy. We had a fun day and that night we met up with some friends at Kudu for a beer. We love this spot and are happy they introduced us to it! It’s a coffee and beer place with a great outdoor patio. After this we headed to one of our favorite pizza places we actually discovered in Nashville but there is one here as well – DeSano. Great for kids and really great pizza.

Saturday started off with a 4 mile run for me. I actually went out thinking I would just do 3 miles but felt so good I squeezed in one fast extra mile! I feel like I am getting better and better with each run since having Mason. After this I hung out with the kids while Brett mowed the lawn and cleaned out our garage. This is worth noting because our garage looked like we should be on an episode of Hoarder’s since our move – yikes!

We then set out to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch but Ady fell asleep in the car. As other moms know, those car naps are killer! Once they happen, you know nap time is officially screwed up for the day. So my sweet husband suggested I do a little shopping while he sat in the car as both kids napped. I ran into J Crew and Nordstrom Rack to find some things for myself actually. I am still not quite fitting into my old clothes yet so I needed some every day staples in a size up to add to my wardrobe.

Ady got about 45 minutes to an hour in for a nap and we went to Five Loaves for lunch which has quickly become a favorite of ours. I talked about this in my last post. Brett got some loving from the kiddos while we waited for our table to be ready.

We then went to the Children’s Museum downtown and Ady had a blast. She loved it so we became members and will be back soon.

Then we saw an ice cream shop we had to stop in and grab a treat from. I also popped into Lululemon (I mean we were right there) and bought myself a new “work wardrobe” since I will be working from home after maternity leave is over. 🙂

We headed home after that to relax and unwind for the night.

On Sunday I got up early to go run the bridge. It was a tough run but I absolutely loved it! It was beautiful and Charleston stole a small piece of my heart with this run!

Brett came to meet me with the kiddos afterward and we let Ady play on the playground close by then took a walk on the pier.

After this we headed to a recommended spot, Vintage Coffee & Cafe. This might be my new favorite place in the morning! Delicious food, the coffee was so good, AND they have an outdoor area that is perfect for families. There is a place for kids to play while parents sit at the tables and can watch them. Genius! We will be back for sure.

We ended the night at home relaxing and eating tacos Brett made for dinner!

Last week’s workouts were pretty good for this sleep deprived mama but I need to incorporate more weights going forward:

Monday – 21 Day Fix Upper Arms video
Tuesday – 3 mile treadmill run
Wednesday – 4 mile treadmill run (I did sprints that totaled 4 miles. I would sprint for half a mile, walk .1 mile, repeat)
Thursday – day off
Friday – 3 miles treadmill run
Saturday – 4 mile run
Sunday – 5 mile bridge run
